Na podstawie uchwały Rady Miejskiej w Barlinku z dnia 25 maja 2023 roku Zdzisław Gilewicz został uhonorowany medalem "Za zasługi dla Barlinka".  Medal przyznany został na wniosek Barlineckiej Rady Seniorów i stanowi wyrazy uznania dla jego wkładu w dokumentowanie filmowe i fotograficzne naszego pięknego miasta.

Uroczystość wręczenia medalu odbyła się 3 lipca w budynku Urzędu Miejskiego w Barlinku, gdzie Zdzisław Gilewicz otrzymał zasłużone wyróżnienie. Jest to symboliczne wydarzenie, które podkreśla wieloletnią pracę i poświęcenie Pana Gilewicza w dokumentowaniu życia Barlinka i jego mieszkańców. Jego praca stanowi ważną kronikę historii i dziedzictwa Barlinka, a przyznanie wyróżnienia jest zasłużonym uznaniem dla jego zaangażowania i pasji.
