W dniu 23.09.2023 roku ponad 40 osobowa grupa młodzieży i dorosłych z Barlinka wzięła udział po raz kolejny w rozgrywkach nordic walking w Uckermarkischer Rolanf-Lauf  naszym partnerskim mieście Prenzlau na dystansie Familien Meile ok 2,5 km. Miłym akcentem było powitanie polskiej grupy przez Burmistrza Prenzlau i Królowej Łabędzi oraz głównego organizatora zawodów dr Eckharda Blohma. Przedstawiciele Europejskiej Stolicy Nordic Walking zdobyli już tradycyjnie medalowe miejsca. Pierwsze i drugie miejsce w kategorii mężczyzn zajęli Marcel Szczepaniak na drugiej pozycji Rafał Szczepaniak .

W kategorii kobiet najlepsze były : Katarzyna Mielcarek, Maria Diaków oraz Bogumiła Ziarno. Wszyscy ukończyli swoje trasy, otrzymali medale uczestnictwa oraz poczęstunek. Część uczestników przeszła również trasę ok 5 km. . Młodzież barlinecką reprezentowała grupa z SP 1, opiekunami byli Agnieszka Miśko oraz Piotr Rosenkiewicz. Po zawodach odbył się mały spacer po centrum Prenzlau. Wyjazd był organizowany przez Katarzynę Mielcarek z CIT- BOK a sfinansowany przez Forderverein Lions Club Prenzlau e.V. ubezpieczenie wyjazdu przez Urząd Gminy Barlinek. Na koniec spotkania otrzymaliśmy zaproszenie na zwody w 2024 roku.
