W dniu 04 czerwca 2019 roku w Urzędzie Miejskim Burmistrz Barlinka Dariusz Zieliński podpisał umowę z Firmą Madex Sp. z o.o. Waldemar Borowski  na wykonanie zadania: „Przebudowa ul. Matejki”. Zakres przebudowy obejmuje demontaż istniejącej już nawierzchni, chodników oraz zjazdów, naprawę istniejącej sieci kanalizacji deszczowej oraz regulację istniejącej  dotychczas infrastruktury drogowej (studnie kanalizacyjne, wodociągowe, telekomunikacyjne). Wykonanie nowej nawierzchni jezdni, chodników, zjazdów z kostki brukowej o łącznej nawierzchni 3033 m2 na odcinku 0,42 km oraz wykonanie progu zwalniającego i skrzyżowania wyniesionego na skrzyżowaniu ul. Matejki, ul. Kasprowicza, ul. Kossaka.

Przekazanie placu budowy nastąpi 07.06.2019 r., a planowany termin zakończenia prac to 04.10.2019 r. Wartość całkowita inwestycji wynosi 998 837,40 zł brutto. Inwestycja jest realizowana ze środków własnych Gminy Barlinek.
